The design process starts with a one-to-one session with clients where the team build the foundation of the process by understanding the client’s needs and preferences. “The goal of this consultation is to deeply understand the client’s vision for the project and we also readily convey our inputs to start building a design blueprint,” Simran explains.

After the initial consultation, the team move to the planning phase and crafts designs that capture the client’s vision while respecting the project’s functional needs. Next is the execution of the project. “We believe in maintaining transparent communication with our clients, ensuring every phase reflects our commitment to quality and client satisfaction,” Simran adds. “The transparent communication helps keep the client well-informed and involved throughout the project.

Can you tell us about your journey into interior design and architecture? What inspired you to pursue this field?

Ar. Simran: My journey began with a fascination for spaces and how they shape experiences. Studying architecture fueled my desire to blend beauty with purpose, and eventually, Essence Decor became the platform where I could bring this vision to life.

Can you share a memorable project that significantly impacted your career?

Ar. Simran: One of our early projects involved transforming a small, cluttered apartment into a light-filled, organized space that reflected the client’s personality. The transformation was incredible, and seeing the positive impact it had on the client’s life truly validated my passion.

What are some common misconceptions clients have about hiring an interior designer or architect?

Ar. Simran: I suggest focusing on timeless, quality pieces that will last. It’s better to invest in a few standout items rather than many smaller ones, which keeps the design cohesive and elevated.

Ar. Simran: Client feedback is invaluable. Their insights often reveal nuances we might not have considered, so we encourage open dialogue and adjust designs to align closely with their expectations.
